What's inside the "gas tank"?
Because there is no need for gas, our tank is used to house the controller and wires. It makes for a cleaner look overall. We do not put our battery inside the tank because it would be much harder to remove to charge, and having it on the front tube makes for a lower centre of gravity (more balance).
When does it go on sale?
Our early bird price of $3999CAD // $2999USD lasts until June 30th, after which bikes will cost $4499CAD // $3399 USD.
How fast does it go?
In order to meet electric bicycle regulations, the CR-T1's top speed can be limited through the controller and LCD. For off road use, the CR-T1 can reach a top speed of 50 km/h (30 mph).
What is the range?
The CR-T1 has a range of 50 km without pedaling, and 60+ km with moderate pedaling. Many companies tend to boost their range (by pedaling, never slowing down, etc.). This however, is unreasonable as it is not how people actually ride. Thus, 50 km is a reasonable range estimate.
How do I charge it?
The battery on the CRT1 is removable from the frame (when unlocked). Our charger is rated at 4AH, so just plug the battery with the charger into a standard wall outlet, wait 4-5 hours, and your battery will be fully charged and ready to go.
What warranty do you offer?
Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects not resulting from abuse or misuse. We reserve the right to determine what damage is due to defective materials and what is due to product abuse or misuse. Warranty is void if abuse or misuse is detected.
The warranty is non-transferable and only extends to the original customer.
We offer a 1 year warranty on non-wearable parts, including: the battery, hub motor, LCD, lights, controller and all other electronics. On our frames, we offer a 5 year warranty.
Is there a minimum or maximum height for the rider?
We made our bike to accommodate a wide range of heights and therefore, anyone 5'2" - 6'9" should enjoy a comfortable ride. We are working on offering different wheel sizes so customers can customize their seat height accordingly.
