A New Chapter
A few weeks ago, we completed our third prototype. We are particularly excited about this one, as it is the closest we have ever been to our production model. Since the previous prototype, we have made some pretty big changes including removing the rear suspension, changing the handlebars, shortening the length by 12", and improving our tank design. By the way: I'd love to hear what you guys think about it. You can send me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
We've been pretty the past few weeks with getting ready for our first production run. Recently, we filmed a new video, finished a new prototype, worked out shipping rates, and 3D modelled our 4th prototype.
On to the new chapter in the life of our business. We've been waiting two years for this: After our crowdfunding campaign in May, we are going to begin producing bikes for our first production run and upgrading our workshop from an apartment to......a house! To ensure the quality of our bikes, Ike will be personally hand building each one that we sell for the next few years. I can't really express how excited we are to fully launch our business but believe me, excited is an understatement.
I said earlier that we figured out what our shipping rates were going to be. For the last few weeks, getting shipping quotes has been a nightmare. To make things simple, we have decided to go with a flat shipping rate of $400 USD for the US and Canada. For the rest of the world, we'll have to charge a bit more. Here is the exciting part about shipping: We are planning on personally delivering as many bikes as possible. This is not possible without you guys and we're thrilled to take this opportunity and share the experience when you ride your CRT1 for the first time! It's been a crazy journey getting here but we've loved every step of it and are extremely grateful for the support that you guys show us every step of the way!
Until next time,
